Misinformation & News Literacy

The main aim of the course is to provide a solid understanding of the significance of misinformation and the importance of verifying information sources. The course also illustrates how easily one can be misled and how such misinformation can impact society, organizations, and individuals personally. It equips participants with tools to combat misinformation, which can also be applied in various scenarios beyond misinformation, such as identifying phishing emails and evaluating data or information presented in different contexts. Additionally, the course emphasizes critical thinking skills, encouraging participants to question and analyze the information they encounter daily. Through practical exercises and real-world examples, students learn to recognize the subtle techniques used to spread false information. By the end of the course, participants will be better prepared to navigate the complex information landscape of the digital age.
